Muriel
N. Cutler 83, of Galesburg, Illinois passed away Monday, January 26,
2015 at 8:57 P.M. at the Heartland Health Care Center in Galesburg,
Illinois.
Muriel
was born May 13, 1931 in St. Louis Missouri, the daughter of Russell
and Ellen (Davis) Newman. She married Lewis Cutler on January 18,
1951 in Barry, Illinois. Muriel was employed as a Secretary for the
Avon Ford Garage and the St. Mary Medical Center for 23 years. She
was a member of the Avon Women’s Club, the Daughters of the
American Revolution and the Avon Federated Church. She enjoyed
fishing, camping, knitting, reading and traveling.
Muriel
is survived by her husband; Lewis Cutler of Galesburg, IL, two
daughters; Lee Cutler of Avon, Melissa (and Joshua) Griffith of
Tennessee, IL, one son-in-law; Robert Chambers of Avon, five
grandchildren; Angie Cutler of Knoxville, Kendra Johnson of Avon,
Amanda Cutler of East Galesburg, Jareth West of East Galesburg, Kira
West of East Galesburg, three great-grandchildren; Alysyanna,
Stephoen, and Jocelyn, and one brother; John (Marsha) Newman of South
Carolina.
She
was preceded in death by her parents; Russell and Ellen, and one son;
Mark S. Cutler.
Visitation
will be held from 4:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. with a Prayer Service at
5:00 P.M. on Saturday, February 7, 2015 at the Federated Church in
Avon, Illinois. Memorials may be made to the Federated Church of
Avon, Illinois. Hurd-Hendricks Funeral Homes & Crematory in
Knoxville, Illinois is assisting the family with arrangements.
