Helen C. Brodine

Helen C. Brodine, 79 of Galesburg, died at 8:15 A.M. Thursday, February 5, 2015 at Galesburg Cottage Hospital.

 

She was born on June 10, 1935 in Galesburg, Illinois, the daughter of Carl and Mildred (Nelson) Brodine.  Helen graduated from Galesburg High School in 1953 and then attended Brown’s Business College. 

 

Helen is survived by her sister, Louise Allen of Galesburg, Illinois; many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Carl Brodine, and one sister, Carolyn Gilmore. 

 

Helen worked at Maytag for many years and retired in 1996.  She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Galesburg for fifty-five years.  She enjoyed art. 

 

Graveside memorial service will be at 11:00 A.M. Friday, February 13, 2015 at Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens, Galesburg, Illinois.  Rev. Dr. Tom Larsen will officiate.  Memorials may be given to Trinity Lutheran Church, Galesburg, Illinois. Hurd-Hendricks Funeral Home in Knoxville, Illinois is in charge of arrangements.
