Surviving are one son, Terry (Francisca) Gibb of Pasco, Washington; two daughters, Cheryl (Ray) Prosperi of Ballwin, Missouri; and Ruth (Bruce) Schlappi of Kansas City, Missouri; five grandchildren Thad (Heather) Salter, Melissa (Abram) Steen, Leah (Mark) Green, Lauren (Duke) Middleton and Kyle Schlappi; two step-granddaughters, Carolyn (Matt) Berger, and Kris (John) Schmidt; twelve great grandchildren and several nephews and nieces.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and one daughter, Mary Ann Winchester.
Joyce moved to Illinois from South Dakota after high school. After marrying Bob, she worked together with him, farming in Roseville and Biggsville. She earned her LPN license in 1975 and enjoyed many years in the nursing profession. She volunteered at the local elementary school, listening to students as they practiced reading skills. She was a faithful member of Rozetta Baptist church. She enjoyed dancing, making wonderful pies, attending sporting events and spending time with family and friends. Her kindness and smile will be deeply missed.
Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday February 28, 2015 at the Rozetta Baptist Church in Little York, IL. with Pastor Jim Bennett officiating. Visitation will be at Corman Memorial Home in Roseville on Friday February 27, 2015 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM. Interment will be in the Biggsville Cemetery.
