Mrs. Barbara
Cooley-Pennington, 65, of Roseville formerly of Galesburg, Illinois died at
4:17 am Sunday, March 1, 2015 in the Roseville Rehab and Health Care Center.
She was born March 31, 1949
in Galesburg the daughter of Paul W. and Violet M. Scott Nelson. She first
married Phillip E. Grabill in April of 1967 in Galesburg. She then married
Tommy L. Cooley on January 4, 1979, he preceded her in death in November of
1981. She later married Glen D. Pennington in June of 1993. He preceded her in
death in November of 2006.
She is survived by her two
daughters, Kim (Marshall) Randolph of Monmouth, Illinois and Julie (Greg)
Windsor of Galesburg; her brother, Bruce Nelson of Gilson, Illinois; two nieces
and two nephews; her granddaughter, Courtney Grabill and two step grandsons,
Jeremy and Travis Randolph. She is preceded in death by her parents and her
husbands.
Barbara worked as a waitress
for the Family Table for many years. She graduated from Galesburg High School
in 1967. She enjoyed her yard, animals,
the outdoors, watching humming birds and her cats.
Graveside services are
scheduled for 11 am Wednesday, March 4, 2015 in Memorial Park Cemetery. Rev.
Daniel Siems will officiate. There will be no visitation. Memorials may be made
to the Guardian Angel Humane Society or to the Knox County Humane Society.
