It is with sadness that the family of M. Maxine Rendleman Fritz announces her
passing early in the morning of March 1, 2015.
Maxine was born on Bald Knob, near Alto Pass, Union County, Illinois on
July 14, 1921 the daughter of Henry and Zora Logan Rendleman. She married
Edward Fritz on August 22, 1947. He preceded her in death in 1996.
She leaves behind two children, Randy Fritz (wife
Janet Collopy) of Williamsfield and Christine Fritz Youngquist (husband Steve)
of Cameron; and four grandchildren:
Andrew Fritz of Williamsfield, Zack (wife Jaclyn) Youngquist of
Monmouth, Hannah Youngquist (fiancé Ben Dingman) of Davenport, Iowa and Carissa
Youngquist of Cameron. She is also
survived by three sisters: Ollie Walker
of Fairview Heights, Illinois, Betty Singer of Mount Prospect formerly of
Peoria, and Jean Rudolph of Peoria. Two
sisters and a brother passed away before her.
She was a resident of Cameron. She lived most of her life in Galesburg. Maxine
moved to the Galesburg area as a nanny before World War II and became a
hairdresser until her marriage. After
her children were grown, she worked for the Burlington Northern Railroad until
her retirement in 1981.
She moved to her Cameron home with her daughter and
family in 1999. She lived there for the remainder of her life.
Maxine’s passions included playing bridge, where she
remained active in several groups. She also enjoyed duplicate bridge, water
color painting, sewing and quilting, and reading. Her greatest love was her
family, all of whom miss her greatly.
Visitation will be at 1:00
