Mrs. Margo A. Irons, 84, of
Galesburg, Illinois died at 1:25 am Monday, March 2, 2015 in OSF St. Mary
Medical Center.
She was born June 19, 1930 in
Fulton County, Illinois the daughter of Ernest and Minnie Bowman Moore. She
married Robert L. Irons on November 21, 1948. He preceded her in death on March
4, 2012.
She is survived by a son,
Robert Joe (Vilma) Irons of Yorkville, Illinois; two daughters, Kendall (Tom)
Webber of Galesburg and Leslie (Charlie) Cross of Eureka Springs, Arkansas; two
brothers, Tom (Phyllis) Moore of Bloomington, Illinois and Dick (Jean Ann)
Moore of Lawrence, Kansas; eleven grandchildren, Denise Simkins, Alicia (Thom)
Sigel, Angela (Nik Jsd) Condon, Ryan (Megan) Webber, Bo (RaShawn) Irons,
Jessica, Caroline and Taylor Irons, Garrett, Jackson and Olivia Cross and nine
great grandchildren, Trey, Hayley and Colton Sigel, Dakota Condon, Jake and
Kaylee Miller, Olivia and Avery Webber and Finley Irons. She is preceded in
death by her parents, two daughters, Kathy Ann Condon and Karman Sue Irons, two
brothers, Leroy and Robert Moore and two sisters, Barbara McDaniel and Betty
King.
Margo worked as a Migrant
Program administrator for the public school system in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
She enjoyed reading, sewing, cooking and puzzles. She loved her grandchildren
and great grandchildren and following their activities and sporting events.
Funeral services are
scheduled for 11 am Saturday, March 7, 2015 at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg
Chapel. Rev. James Ecklund will officiate. Visitation will be 10-11 am Saturday
at the chapel. Burial will be in West Midway Cemetery in London Mills, Illinois.
