Evelyn C. Wildermuth

Mrs. Evelyn C. Wildermuth, 90, of Galesburg, Ill. died 10:19 a.m. Sunday, July 5, 2015 at OSF St. Mary Medical Center, Galesburg.  She was born March 11, 1925 in Sioux Falls, S.D. to Earl and Clara Thorson Millage.  She married Frederick Wildermuth, Sr. August 14, 1945 in Moline, Ill.  He preceded her in death July 21, 2006.

Surviving are three sons, Fritz (and Jean) Wildermuth of Park Forest, Ill, David (and Grace) Wildermuth of Tucson, Arizona, and Sid Wildermuth of Galesburg, a daughter, Connie (and Greg) Jensen of Galesburg, a brother, Robert Millage of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, a sister Donna Powers of Boone, Iowa, a brother-in-law Jim (and Beverly) Wildermuth of Aledo, Ill., seven grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and two sisters.

Evelyn was a cook for the Reynolds and Alexis School districts.  She later worked in the dietary department at Galesburg Cottage Hospital.  She retired in 1991.

Cremation will be accorded per Evelyn’s wishes.  There will be a celebration of her life 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Friday, July 10, 2015 at 256 Benner Ave. Galesburg.  Memorials may be made to the family.  Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.  Online condolences may be made at www.h-p-w.com.
