Gene Cooper age 78 of Bushnell, IL passed away on Saturday December 26, 2015 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO. He was born on May 15, 1937 in Ellisville, IL to Clifton G. and Berniece E. Thurman Cooper. He married Susan Orendorff on October 2, 1960 in Canton, IL. Gene is survived by his wife Susan of Bushnell, IL, 1 Son and 1 Daughter – Gary (Valerie) Cooper of Bushnell, IL and Karen (Robert) Catlin of Long Grove, IL and 3 Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his Parents, 2 Brothers and 2 Sisters.
Gene was Past President of the Illinois Amateur Trap Shooters Association, he loved playing and listening to music and he was a lifelong farmer.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday January 6, 2016 at the Macomb First Christian Church with Rev. Kelly Ingersoll officiating. Visitation will be held 2 hours prior to the time of services at the Church on Wednesday the 6th of January. Burial will be in the Bushnell Cemetery.
