MARJORIE J. COZIAHR

Mrs. Marjorie J. Coziahr, 86, of Galesburg, Illinois died at 11:08 am Thursday, December 29, 2015 in Knox County Nursing Home, Knoxville, Illinois

She was born October 31, 1929 in Galesburg the daughter of Harry M. and Mildred J. Johnson Starr. She married Marvin “Pete” C. Coziahr on November 22, 1947 in Galesburg. They were married 68 years. He preceded her in death on December 3, 2015.

Marjorie is survived by her son, Timothy (and Debra) Coziahr of Decatur, Illinois and her daughter, Marilee J. (and William) Fields of Galesburg; three grandchildren, William (and Catina) Fields, II, Michael and Michele Coziahr; four great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband and her brother, William H. Starr.

Marjorie worked for the former Chicago Motor Club for 5 years and OMC Gale Products for 5 years. She owned and operated the Cozi Cone Ice Cream with her husband. She graduated from Galesburg High School in 1947 and had attended Carl Sandburg College. She was a member of the O.A.K.S. Marjorie was a member of the Covenant Church.

Funeral services are scheduled for 1:30 pm Monday, January 4, 2016 at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel. Rev. Tom Ek will officiate. Visitation will be 12:30-1:30 pm Monday at the chapel.
