ROBERT “BOB” M. PALMER

Mr. Robert “Bob” M. Palmer, 58, of Galesburg, Illinois died at 4:31 a.m. Sunday, December 27, 2015 in OSF St. Francis Medical Center, Peoria, Illinois.

He was born January 18, 1957 in Ulm-Germany the son of Wilbert B. and Helga Böcker Palmer. He married Cindy Sue Crane on July 18, 1986 in Galesburg. She preceded him in death on June 28, 2008.

He is survived by his mother, Helga and Mike Allen of Galesburg; his father, Wilbert B. Palmer of Galesburg; two daughters, Holly (and William Thompson) Boone-Curran of Flower Mound, Texas and Elizabeth (and Kristopher Mason) Palmer; his mother in law, Jo Anne (and the late Bill) Crane of Galesburg; his brother, Christopher Allen of Galesburg; two nieces, Amanda (and Tim) Claspill and Emma Allen; four nephews, Ryan (and Holly) Crane, Steven, Chandler and Alexander Allen; his cousin, Ray Palmer of Greensburg, Pennsylvania and all of Helga’s family in Germany. He is preceded in death by his wife; his grandfather, Bernardt Böcker; and father in law, Bill Crane.

Bob worked as a master electrician for many years. He was a member of the Corpus Christi Catholic Church. He enjoyed spending time with his dog, BB.

Funeral Mass is scheduled for 11:45 a.m. Saturday, January 2, 2016 at Corpus Christi Catholic Church. Rev. William Miller will officiate. The Rosary will be prayed at 10 a.m. Saturday by Deacon Michael Crummer at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel. Visitation will follow the Rosary until 11:30 a.m.  Burial will be in Abingdon Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the family. Online condolences may be made at www.-h-p-w.com
