Mr. Ralph E. Hall age 83 of
East Galesburg, Ill. died Saturday January 23, 2016 at 1:50 p.m. at Galesburg
Cottage Hospital.
He was born September 20,
1932 in Galesburg, Ill. the son of Wilbur and Dorothy Osgood Hall. He married
Gertrude E. Brewer in Galesburg, Ill. on November 6, 1960 she preceded him in
death August 26, 1986. He later married Jean B. Adams on June 23, 1991 at
Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin.
Ralph is survived by his wife
Jean, one step daughter Cheryl and Robert Chambers of Moline, Ill., two stepsons
Mark Adams of Franklin, In., and Cory Ray Adams of Sumter, S.C., two cousins
Francis and Edwin Straus and Fred and Jan Hall both of East Galesburg, Ill.,
six step grandchildren, and eight step great grandchildren.
He graduated from Galesburg
High School and worked for Maytag Corporation in the paint department for 40
years retiring April 1, 1995. He served in the United States Army in the 3rd
Infantry in Korea from 1953-1954 and received the Combat Infantry Badge.
Ralph was a very kind man to
everyone. He was an avid Chicago Cubs fan, he love cats and especially his cat
Trixie. Ralph and Jean enjoyed going to Wisconsin Dells for 23 straight years.
Graveside services will be
11:30 p.m. Wednesday January 27, 2016 at East Linwood Cemetery with Lewy Neal
officiating. Military Rites will be conducted by the American Legion and VFW
Post Honor Guard. Visitation will be Wednesday from 10-11 a.m. at
Hinchliff-Pearson-West Chapel. Memorials may be made to the Knox County Humane
Society or the American Cancer Society.
