Robert Louis White, 87, of Knoxville, Illinois passed away Monday, January 18, 2016 at 11:15 PM at the Knox County Nursing Home in Knoxville, Illinois.
He was born January 17, 1929 the son of Samuel Dexter and Bernice (Lindstrom) White. After school he served his country during the Korean Conflict as an airplane mechanic for The United States Navy. He was a longtime photographer, artist, and carpenter for the London Mills community. He enjoyed making clocks and fixing whatever was broken, and fishing.
Robert is survived by his 2 daughters; Sandra Lee White of Galesburg, Illinois, Barbara Lynn Hourigan of Decatur, Illinois, 1 brother; Richard White of Galesburg, Illinois, 4 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren, and a special friend of over 30 years; Marsha Fox of Galesburg, Illinois.
He was preceded in death by his parents; Samuel and Bernice White, 1 sister; Donna Harding, and 1 nephew; Steven Michael Harding.
