Frances L. Zuck, 78, of
Galesburg, died at 10:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 30, 2016, in OSF St. Mary
Medical Center.
She was born April 1, 1937 in
Raymondville, Texas, the daughter of Earl and Nell Ethel (Pennington) Presley. She married Otis D. Zuck on January 21, 1956 in
Galesburg.
She is survived by her
husband of over 60 years, Otis; a son, David Zuck of Sioux City, Iowa; a
daughter, Ellen (and Jay) Smith of Dunlap, Illinois; two granddaughters, Erin
and Emily Smith; a brother, Earl Presley of Garland, Texas; and several
cousins, nieces, and nephews. She was
preceded in death by her parents and an infant sister.
Frances was a medical
transcriptionist at OSF St. Mary Medical Center for 22 years, retiring in
2004. She graduated from Galesburg High
School in 1954. Frances was an artist
who enjoyed sketching and painting nature scenes. She also was a writer of short stories. Frances was a bowler and was interested in
Native American culture.
Cremation will be
accorded. Visitation will be 9:30 to 11
a.m. Monday, April 4, 2016, at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel. Memorial service will follow at 11 a.m. with
Mrs. Eleanor Landon officiating. Burial
will be in Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens.
