Marion A. Rogers

Marion A. Rogers, 94, of Galesburg, died at 8:50 p.m. Saturday, March 19, 2016 in Heartland Health Care Center.

She was born October 13, 1921 in Wauneta, Nebraska the daughter of Rupert J. and Mabel M. (Webber) Conner.  She married Jack R. Rogers on December 6, 1941 in Kewanee, Illinois.  He preceded her in death March 18, 2009.

She is survived by a son, Robert C. Rogers of Chicago; a daughter, Patricia J. Kelly of Galesburg; five grandchildren; four great grandchildren; six great-great grandchildren; and a brother, Ted Conner of Florida.  In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers, Lloyd, Scott, and Virgil Conner.

Marion was a devoted homemaker to her family.  She graduated from Kewanee High School.  Marion was a member of First United Methodist Church.

Visitation will be 9 to 11 a.m. Friday, March 25, 2016, at First United Methodist Church.  Funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. with Pastor Mary Runge officiating.  Burial will follow the funeral at Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens.  Memorial contributions in Marion’s name may be made to the First United Methodist Church.  Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel is handling arrangements for the family.  Online condolences may be made at www.h-p-w.com.
