Pearl L. Starnes

Pearl L. Starnes, age 82, of Galesburg, Illinois  passed away Thursday, March 17, 2016 at the Abingdon Care Center, Abingdon, Illinois.

Pearl was born on August 30, 1933 to Byron and Pansy Morse Keener in Middle Grove, Illinois.  She worked as part of the kitchen staff at the former Galesburg Mental Health Center.  She belonged to the Eagles Club. 

Surviving are her children:  Robert (Dorene) Starnes of Vandevere, Arkansas; Patricia (Harlan) Cook of Maquon, Illinois; Sheila Johnston of Colorado, and Cheryl (Mike) Nache, Kevin Starnes and Kendall Brackett, all of Galesburg, Illinois.  Also surviving are thirty four grandchildren, forty-one great grandchildren; and her brother, Byron (Connie) Keener of Galesburg, Illinois. Multiple nieces and nephews survive.   She was preceded in death by her parents, son, Jimmy Starnes, one brother: Frank; three sisters:  Rosemary, Jenny and Virginia and three grandchildren:  Quintin, Keven, Jr. and Shelby.

Graveside services will be held on Saturday, March 19, 2016 at 2:00 P.M. at the East Linwood Cemetery, Galesburg, Illinois.
