Pearl A. Strickland, 68, of Galesburg, Illinois died at 9:05 A.M. Monday, March 28, 2016 at her residence.
Pearl was born on August 3, 1947 in Galesburg, Illinois the daughter of William W. and Vada J. Curtis Strickland. She was raised and educated in Knoxville and graduated from Knoxville High School.
Pearl was the manager of the Knox Galesburg Symphony for 19 years. She loved music, horses, and her dogs.
Pearl is survived by her son, William Algren of Galesburg, Illinois; grandson, Skylar Algren who is serving in the U.S. Army at Fort Carson, Colorado; and a her brother, John “Eddie” Strickland of Macomb, Illinois.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation will be held on Friday, April 1, 2016 from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. at Hurd-Hendricks Funeral Home, Knoxville, Illinois. Funeral service will be on Friday, April 1, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. at Hurd-Hendricks Funeral Home, Knoxville, Illinois. Rev. Dan Lybarger officiating. Burial will follow at the Knoxville Cemetery.
