Alice Anne Lamprecht went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in the dawn of April 23, 2016. She is survived by her younger sister, Sarah L. Stasen. Her older sister, Martha J. Olson, is deceased. Widowed three times, she is survived by her children Philip Johnson, Nancy Johnson, and Susan Altman from her first marriage to the late Robert W. Johnson; Paula Sindlinger, daughter of the late Paul W. Sindlinger; and Cathy Trenkle, Linda Liles, Claudia Hunter, and Scott Lamprecht, children of the late Robert W. Lamprecht; and is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Alice Anne was born in Monmouth, IL, in 1927, to Arlo Kniss and Ethel Rodgers. Family revolved around church. She graduated from Monmouth College with a degree in mathematics and attended Northwestern University in her junior year. During her schooling in Monmouth, she excelled academically, played the French horn in school bands and orchestras, and with her outgoing personality acted in school and community theater, sang in school and church choirs, and was always active in school groups and activities up through her college years. She and Dad loved and danced to Glenn Miller and other big band music. All during the times of her marriages, she stayed active, serving in her various home churches, active with DAR, Kappa Kappa Gamma, various civic and hospital charities, even being called upon to model in charity events. She was a loving, loving, selfless, and dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother. She was gifted in hospitality and putting others before herself. She was a Proverbs 31 woman, some of her many Godly traits being that: she was a wife of noble character, her husbands had full confidence in her and her husbands were respected, she was clothed in strength and dignity, she spoke with wisdom, she did not eat the bread of idleness, and her children and her husbands rose to call her blessed. Proverbs 31:30: Charm is deceptive and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the LORD is to be praised.
