Louetta “Lou” A. Foster, 84,
of Galesburg, died at 12:47 a.m. Wednesday, April 13, 2016 in Rosewood Care
Center.
She was born October 11, 1931
in Chicago, the daughter of Lawrence R. and Lola B. (Davis) Hehmann. She married Charles R. Foster on August 23,
1952 in Galesburg.
Lou is survived by her loving
husband, Charlie; two sons, Michael Foster of Galesburg and Steve (and Sherry)
Foster of Dahinda; four grandchildren, Jessica, Ryan, Mitch, and Clint; a great
grandson, Brantley; and one brother, Jim Hehmann of Oviedo, Florida. She was preceded in death by her parents, one
brother, and one sister-in-law.
She graduated from Aquinas
Catholic High School in Chicago in 1949 and earned a degree from Browns
Business College in 1951. Throughout her
life, she was a devoted housewife and mother to her two sons. Lou was an avid reader and enjoyed bowling,
swimming, and tennis in addition to any other activities her family
pursued. In later years, she worked
various retail positions. She was a
long-time member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church and was very proud
of her faith.
Visitation will be 2 to 4
p.m. Sunday, April 17, 2016 at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel. Funeral Mass will be 11 a.m. Monday at
Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church.
Rev. Msgr. Ernest Pizzamiglio will officiate. Burial will be in Oak Lawn Memorial
Gardens. Memorial contributions may be
