Mrs. Jane E. Perdue, 59, of
Galesburg, Illinois, died at 11:58 p.m. Wednesday, April 13, 2016 at her
home.
She was born June 28, 1956 in
Monmouth, Illinois to Robert “Buck” and Joann Sage Schisler.
Surviving is a son, Chris
Perdue of Stronghurst, Illinois; two brothers, Robert (and Olga) Schisler and
Tim (and Angie) Schisler, both of Monmouth; two sisters, Carol Wolf and Gena
(and John) Vellenga, both of Monmouth; and a grandson Christian Perdue. She is preceded in death by her parents and an
infant brother, Bradley Ray Schisler.
Jane graduated from Monmouth
High School in 1974. She received an
associate’s degree in accounting from Carl Sandburg College in Galesburg. She worked for Kroger’s Grocery Store and then
Eagles Grocery Store, both in Monmouth, for several years. She was a member of Northwoods Church in
Galesburg and volunteered for several activities including Sunday school and
other church functions. She enjoyed
donating her time, money, and care packages to various organizations in the
community. In 2007, she was honored by
Galesburg’s Community Recognition Award.
She enjoyed traveling and sharing her adventures with others. Jane loved spending time with her nephews and
had a very special bond with her grandson.
Cremation will be accorded. Visitation will be 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Monday,
April 18, 2016 at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel. Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday,
April 19, 2016 at Warren County Memorial Park Cemetery in Monmouth. Jeremie Kilgore will officiate. Memorials may be made to the family. Online condolences may be made at www.h-p-w.com.
