John D. Seats

John D. Seats, age 72, of Coralville, Iowa; passed away at 5:59 am on May 26, 2016 at Lantern Park Nursing Facility in Coralville, Iowa. John was born June 23, 1943 in Peoria, Illinois and is the son of Everett N. and Leona A. Williams Seats. John received his G. E. D. and was a member of Brotherhood of Carpenters for twenty years. John proudly served his Country during Vietnam with the United States Army. He was a lather of wood, metal, and wire, wall preparation for a finish coat, doing that for twenty years. John was also a member of MESA ( Mathematics, Engineering, Science, Achievement ) He is survived by his brother, James Seats of Smithshire, Illinois and his sister, Vivian Smith in Missouri and his Niece, Diana (John) Kennedy of Monmouth, Illinois. He is preceded in death by his parents and one daughter, Shelly Lynn and one son, Everett Neal Seats III.

His family plans a gathering of his family and friends on Saturday, June 4th, 2016 at 9:00 am until 11:00 am at Turnbull Funeral Home in Monmouth, Illinois. A graveside interment and military honors will then be in the Biggsville Township Cemetery at Biggsville, Illinois following. A memorial fund is being established by his family.
