Darlene Joyce Pratt

 

Darlene Joyce Pratt, 81, of LaCrescent, Minnesota, formerly of Galesburg, Illinois died on August 20, 2016 at Brookdale Assisted Living Center, LaCrosse, Wisconsin.  

 

She was born on December 1, 1934 in Campbell, Minnesota, the daughter of Robert and Elsie Lindberg Bugbee.  She was raised and educated in Kewanee, Illinois.  She married Richard W. Pratt, Sr. on February 14, 1954 at the Presbyterian Church in Kewanee, Illinois.  He preceded her in death on February 8, 2014. 

 

Darlene worked for the Galesburg Public Library for 18 years and she was an avid reader.  She was a member of the East Main Congregational Church in Galesburg, Illinois and later the United Methodist Church in LaCrescent, Minnesota.   

 

Darlene is survived by her son, Richard "Rick" (Mary) Pratt of LaCrescent, Minnesota; three grandchildren, Corey (Heather) Pratt, Jason (Candace) Pratt, and Amy Pratt; four great grandchildren; one sister, Delores DeWolf of Kewanee, Illinois; and one brother, Dale (Marilyn) Bugbee of Mahomet, Illinois.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents one daughter, three brothers, and one sister.  

 

 

Memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM. on Thursday, August 25, 2016 at the East Main Congregational Church in Galesburg, Illinois.  Rev. Robin Faull will officiate.  Inurnment will be in the Floral Hills Cemetery in Neponset, Illinois.  Memorials may be made to the East Main Congregation Church or the Arthritis Foundation.  Hurd-Hendricks Funeral Home in Knoxville, Illinois in charge of arrangements.
