Donald G. Braselton, 88, of Roseville, IL,
passed away Monday August 22, 2016, 9:05 a.m. at the Roseville Rehab and
Healthcare Center Roseville, IL. He was
born Tuesday May 15, 1928 in Monmouth, IL the son of George and Phoebe (Holton)
Braselton. He married Maxine Blair on
June 6, 1954 at the First Methodist Church of Monmouth, IL.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife
Maxine Braselton of Roseville, IL; one daughter Susan (Bernard) Eaves of Mt.
Pleasant, IA; one son Ron (Chris) Braselton of Grand rapids, MI; 8
grandchildren Chad (Lindsay) Hunter, Sara (Joe Huston) Hunter, Jenny (Jim)
Hood, Ashley Eaves, Bryce Eaves, Luke, Grace, and Vince Braselton, step great
grandson Dakota Wilson; Great grandchildren Ailexa, Marlea, and Jack Hunter,
Jaxson Huston, Abbey, Blake and Carson Hood; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, 1
daughter (Marcia Ebert), 3 sisters (Mildred Howard, Dorothy Taylor, and Irma
Sands).
Donald graduated Roseville High School in
1946. He served in the US Army from
1950-1952 in California and Alaska. He
was a truck driver at Sands Elevator for 25 years and a feed truck driver at
Supersweet Feeds for 20 years. He worked
10 years at Monmouth Grain and Dryer. He
enjoyed card playing and dancing. He
traveled to Florida for many years and enjoyed that as well. He especially enjoyed spending time with his
family.
Funeral service will be Friday August 26,
2016, 11:00 a.m. at the Roseville United Methodist Church Roseville, IL. Burial will be in the Roseville Memorial Park
Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:30
a.m. to the hour of service at the Church.
Memorials may be made to the Roseville United Methodist Church and/or
the Roseville Rehab and Healthcare Center.
