Nancy K. Bohn, age 65, of Monmouth, Illinois passed away at OSF St.Francis
Medical Center in Peoria, IL on Saturday, September 3, 2016 at 8:30 pm. Nancy
was born on November 4, 1950 in Monmouth, Illinois and is the daughter of Virgil
E. and Rose A. Howell Shaub. Nancy attended Monmouth public schools and was an
honor student and proud graduate of Monmouth High School with the class of 1968.
She also was very proud to be a member of the Monmouth High School Marching band
under the direction of Lester Muneke. She later attended Monmouth College where
she became life-long friends with Chicago Connie and DC Barb. Nancy was
previously married to Dale Buckert who passed away and later to Larry Shaw. She
is currently married to her soul mate, Ralph Bohn. They were married October
10th of 1986 and he is surviving. Nancy is a talented bookkeeper and organizer,
who first worked for Kmart, then Munson Trucking, and lastly for Monmouth
Implement, all here in Monmouth, Illinois. Nancy loved Monmouth, and Monmouth
High School and the marching band, traveling the East Coast with her sweetheart,
enjoying East Coast seafood, all things fall including the Spoon River Drive,
musicals and classic movies, teddy bears, and her grandchildren. Survivors
include her husband Ralph of Monmouth, IL; one daughter, Kellie Kay Buckert of
Monmouth, IL; step daughter, Margaret (Rocky) Kannan and step son, Adam Bohn,
both in Massachusetts. Her grandchildren, Alek Buckert, Conor and Jareth
Buckert-Anderson, all of Monmouth, IL; Brandon, Julia, and Dillon Trafka in
Massachusetts, and Aaron Trafka in Rhode Island. One great grand daughter, Xoei
Trafka also in Rhode Island. Her mother Rose Trimble of Monmouth is surviving
and her sisters, Jane Trimble in Colorado, Judy Peters in Springfield, IL,
Martha Shaub (Fred Louis) in Utah, and Mary Shaub (Bob Wright) in Colorado.her brothers, Tom (Cindy) Trimble in
Delaware, Chuck (Brenda) Shaub of Texas, and Jerry (Jan) Trimble in
Iowa.
There are many Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, and Nieces and Nephews also surviving.
She is preceded in her death by her father Virgil, step-father Robert Trimble,
an infant sister Brenda, a son Richie Buckert, step-son Andrew Bohn, her
grandparents, and a number of aunts and uncles.
A funeral service will be at 10:30 am on Thursday, September 8, 2016 at
Turnbull Funeral Home in Monmouth, Illinois. Cremation then is to be accorded.
Her family plans visitation for the hour prior to the service, from 9:30 am to
10:30 on Thursday at the funeral home. Memorial funds have been established for
either Faith United Presbyterian Church or OSF St. Francis Children's Hospital.
