Rhonda Lynn Olson DeCrane

Rhonda Lynn Olson DeCrane, 54, of Galesburg, Illinois died at 8:50 A.M. Sunday, September 25, 2016 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center, Peoria, Illinois.

 

She was born on June 25, 1962 in Galesburg, Illinois, the daughter of Russell and Ruth Ann Clark Olson. She graduated from Galesburg High School in 1982. Rhonda married Gary F. DeCrane on May 13, 1988 in Galesburg, Illinois. He preceded her in death on May 8, 2010.

 

Rhonda was a stay at home mom for many years and she also owned her own business, Country Cockatiels.

 

Rhonda attended Northwoods Church in Galesburg. She enjoyed watching NASCAR races, tending to her flowers and garden, being with her friends at Mary Allen West, and loved her birds. Most of all Rhonda loved spending time with her family and her grandchildren.

 

Rhonda is survived by a daughter, Amy (Cris Courson) Haring of Galesburg, Illinois; a son, Aaron DeCrane of North Carolina; her mother, Ruth Ann Olson, of Galesburg, Illinois; three grandchildren, Bryce, Kholby, and Kaleb Courson all of Galesburg, Illinois; a brother, Rusty (Kathy) Olson of Weston, Wisconsin; a sister, Roxanne (Tim) Thiede of Boise, Idaho; a brother-in-law, Dennis (Deb) DeCrane of Abingdon, Illinois; and numerous nieces and nephews. 

 

She was preceded in death by her father and husband.

 

Graveside memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, September 30, 2016 at the Woodhull Cemetery, Woodhull, Illinois. Pastor Andrew Wingo will officiate.
