Sherold G. Brown age 74 of Bushnell, IL passed away at 6:05
P.M. Saturday September 10, 2016 at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield,
IL. He was born on August 28, 1942 in
Walnut Grove, IL to Ghlee and Vera Counselmen Brown. He married Mary Jane Wilson in Macomb, IL on
March 14, 1964. He is survived by his
wife Jane of Bushnell, IL, 3 Sons – Jeff (Mary) Brown of Bushnell, IL, Pete
(Shelley) Brown of Havana, IL, and Doug (Jennifer) Brown of Ooltewah, TN, 6
Grandchildren – Travis Brown, Jesica Brown, Macy Brown, Seth Brown, Lily Brown,
Brooke Brown, and 1 Great-Grandchild. He
is also survived by 4 Sisters – Kay Jackson of Macomb, IL, Marcella (Speed)
Heaton of Macomb, IL, Alcinda (Keith) Moore of Colchester, IL and Zelpha (Stan)
Lester of Blandinsville, IL.
Sherold
was an avid sports fan. He pitched fast-pitch softball for 15 years,
coached Little League, shot pool and taught many others the game. He
loved to hunt, fish, golf, and camp. He was a member of Lions Club,
Jaycees, and
he was an Elder in his church. He worked
at Pioneer Hy-Bred for 25 years, moving up from construction to
management. He enjoyed his career and
the people he worked with. Sherold also
loved watching his grandkids play sports and loved the last ten years of
winters spent in Destin, FL, and all the people he met and became good
friends
with there.
Cremation rites have been accorded and a celebration of his
life will be held at the Bushnell Community Christian Center on October 1, 2016
from 11:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M. Memorial contributions may be made to the B-PC
