Susan “Sue” Ann Wynkoop Cramer, 75 of Abingdon, passed away at 10:10 a.m. Tuesday, September 6, 2016 at home with her family at her bedside.
She was born November 22, 1940 in Galesburg, the daughter of James Henry
and Lena Alice Roller Wynkoop. She married Marvin E. Cramer on
December 14, 1958. He preceded her in death on May 23, 2013. She was
also preceded in death by her parents, one son, Brent Marvin Cramer, and
two sisters, Rebecca Hart and Marlene Wynkoop.
Sue is survived by her daughter, Brigitte (and Ray) Ziegler of Victoria;
three grandchildren, Megan Ziegler, Marissa Ziegler and Jacob Ziegler.
She graduated from Abingdon High School in 1958. She was a lifetime
member of the former Congregational Church in Abingdon. She worked at
the Telephone office in Abingdon, the Abingdon Brass Factory and later
at Admiral/Maytag in Human Resources and Payroll. She loved to go to
garage sales, yard sales and the Goodwill Stores. She and Marvin
enjoyed ballroom dancing. But most of all, Sue loved her grandkids.
Cremation will be accorded. As she requested, a private service will be
held at a later date at the Boydstun-Dawdy Cemetery, Indian Point
Township, south of Abingdon. There will be no visitation.
