Kenneth
E. Fell, 88, of Oneida, Illinois died at 3:15 A.M Saturday, October 1,
2016 at Knox County Nursing Home, Knoxville, Illinois.
He
was born on November 24, 1927 in Kewanee, Illinois, the son of Robert
Randall and Eva Grace Williams Fell. He graduated from Toulon High
School. Kenneth married Beth Nelson on May 21, 1950 in Galesburg,
Illinois.
Kenneth owned and operated Oneida Auto Body in Oneida for 39 years.
He
was a member of the Messiah Lutheran Church in Henderson Grove. Kenneth
was a past Grand Master and life member of the Rio Masonic Lodge and
also had been a member in the former Wataga and Oneida lodges. Kenneth
was also a member of the Scottish Rites, Moline Chapter. Kenneth was a
50 plus year member of the Order of the Eastern Star being active in the
former Oneida and Rio chapters and current member of the Galesburg
Chapter. He was also a member of the Oneida American Legion.
Kenneth served in the Navy from 1945 to 1946 during World War II.
Kenneth
is survived by his wife, Beth Fell of Oneida, Illinois, two sons,
Kenneth R. Fell of Oneida, Illinois and Keith N. (Teresa) Fell of
Oneida, Illinois; one daughter, Karen B. (Clifford) Lee of Oneida,
Illinois; five grandchildren, Clint Fell, Sarah Freymuth, Luke Rylander,
Lisa Binash, and Josh Rylander; four great grandchildren, Keigan
Rylander, Braxton Rylander, Cole Freymuth, and Abby Fell; and cousins,
Ruth Burkhead, Ed Lynn, and Judy Hagan.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Graveside
memorial service will be held at 2:00 P.M. October 9, 2016 at the
Oneida Cemetery. Rev. Kurt Carlsen will officiate. Memorials may be
made to FISH Food Pantry, Knox County Humane Society, or to the Knox
County Nursing Home’s Van Fund. Hurd-Hendricks
