Terrence J. “Terry” Foockle, 80,
of Monmouth, IL, passed away at 11:10 a.m., Friday, October 14, 2016 at his
home.
He was born March 1, 1936 in
Peru, IL the son of Robert Frank and Elenore (Urbanski) Foockle. He was raised and educated in Spear, IL. and
Lubbock, TX.
Terry served with the United
States Army during the Korean War.
Terry married Norma Jean
Vlahovich at Visitation Catholic Church in Kewanee, IL on May 1, 1954 and she
survives.
Terry was a self-employed milk
truck driver for 30 years. He later was
a truck driver for Munson Transportation and DCM Transport before retiring in
2008. He also worked for Super Wash in
Monmouth for 3 years.
He was a member of Immaculate
Conception Catholic Church in Monmouth.
He was an avid Chicago Cubs and Chicago Bears fan.
Survivors include his wife of 62
years, Norma Jean; his daughter, Wanda Schreck of Galesburg; son, Robert
Foockle of Monmouth; 3 grandsons, Luke (Kalie Duncan) Schreck of Aledo, IL,
Clinton Schreck of Chesterton, IN and Travis (Kenzie Weir) Schreck of Monmouth;
5 great grandchildren; brother, Rev. Harry (Donna) Foockle of Kansas City, MO;
half-sister, Jackie (Walter) Hampton of The Colony, TX; half-brothers, Jerry Bailey
of St. Augustine, IL, Duane Bailey of Santa Clarita, CA and Kenneth Bailey of
Sunnyvale, CA; numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his
parents.
