William P. "Rick" Lock

William P. "Rick" Lock, age 59, of Oquawka, Illinois, passed away at 11:15 PM on Tuesday, October 4, 2016 at his residence in Oquawka. He was born on November 16, 1956 in Burlington, Iowa, the son of William Allen and Beverly JoAnn (Taylor) Lock. Rick was raised in the Oquawka area and after his family moved, he graduated from Apollo High School in Burlington, Iowa. On April 10, 1978, he married Robin Diane Siegfried and they later divorced. Rick worked at the Housing Authority in Oquawka and as a commercial fisherman. He enjoyed fishing, reading, watching movies, and listening to the "Blues". Rick is survived by three daughters; Rhiannon (Kurt) Parriott of Mount Pleasant, IA, Shawna Lock of North Liberty, IA, and Laura (Anthony) Kennedy of Burlington, IA, one son, William (Sunshine Jane Sells) Lock of Burlington, IA, his significant other, Wendy Goodwin, step children, Tegan and Byron Smothers of Burlington, IA, sixteen grandchildren, one great-grandchild, step-mother, Anita Lock, four brothers; John Lock, Allen (Amy) Lock, Leonard (Nancy Miller) Lock, and Thomas (Sarah Stephenson) Lock, and one sister, Rebecca (Wayne) Smith. He is preceded in death by his parents.

A Gathering of Family and Friends is planned for 10:00-11:30 AM on Saturday, October 15, 2016 at Turnbull Funeral Home in Oquawka. Cremation is being accorded.
