Darlene J. Lawson

Darlene J. Lawson, age 87, of Oneida, Illinois died at 2:15 PM on Monday, November 14, 2016 at Seminary Manor in Galesburg, Illinois.

Darlene was born on June 19, 1929 in Oneida, Illinois the daughter of Leonard and Erma Molburg Peterson. Darlene graduated from Oneida High School in 1947. She married Kenneth Lawson on July 1, 1951. He preceded her in death on August 16, 1995.

Surviving are two sons: Larry Lawson of Oneida, Illinois and Danny (Debbie) Lawson of Oneida, Illinois; two grandsons: Eric and Adam Windsor; one sister: Lois (Wayne) Billingsley of Galesburg, Illinois. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one daughter, Dixie Windsor and one brother, Dale Peterson.

Darlene worked for a local grocery store from 1949-1953. She was also a billing clerk for the City of Oneida Water Department from 1953-1993. Darlene was a member of the United Church of Oneida, Presbyterian Women and the Oneida High School Reunion Committee.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Sunday, November 20, 2016 at the United Church of Oneida in Oneida, Illinois. Visitation will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Sunday, November 20, 2016 at the United Church of Oneida. Rev. David Pyell will officiate.
