Donald R. Overton Sr.

Donald R. Overton Sr. 96, of Galesburg, IL formerly of Avon, IL passed away at 5:55 AM Monday December 26, 2016 at OSF St. Mary Medical Center. He was born on March 30, 1920 in Iowa to Albert and Allabelle (Pence) Overton. He married Clara E. Prokes on April 7, 1941 in Chicago, IL. She preceded him in death on July 22, 2008.
He is survived by 4 children, Diane (Marion) Stuckey of London Mills, IL; Olinda (Bob) Lewis of London Mills, IL; Luann Day of Canton, IL; Donald Overton Jr. of London Mils, IL; several grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife and two sisters.
Donald honorably served in the United States Air Force during World War II.
