Lance E. Robinson

Lance E. Robinson, age 54, of Monmouth, Illinois, passed away at 11:36 AM on Saturday, December 17, 2016 at OSF Holy Family Medical Center in Monmouth, Illinois. He was born on December 29, 1961 in Monmouth, Illinois, the son of Donald L. and Lillian M. (Zauche) Robinson. Lance, in his early years, attended Law School in Rural Monmouth, and later attended Warren School. He worked for a number of years with his father, Don, at Robinson Electric in Monmouth. Lance had previously worked at Equipco and M.C.R./I.M.I. Cornelius also in Monmouth. Lance enjoyed attending flea markets, auctions, and the "Old Threshers" reunions. He was an avid collector of Coke memorabilia. Lance is survived by his father, Don Robinson of Woodhull, IL, one sister, Donna (Ed) Smock of rural Monmouth, IL, one brother, Leif I. (Elizabeth Loustaunau) Robinson of Tuscan, AZ, nephews; Jerry E. (Tami) Smock, Clint (Jennifer) Smock, and Tom Smock. Numerous cousins, grand nieces and nephews are also surviving. He is preceded in death by his grandparents and his mother Lillian.

A funeral service is planned for 2:00 PM on Thursday, December 22, 2016 at Turnbull Funeral Home in Monmouth. His family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 pm prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will be at Monmouth Cemetery.
