Loris J. Kinsey, 87, of
Galesburg, Illinois died at 10:07 pm Thursday, December 15, 2016 at
Knox County Nursing Home, Knoxville, Illinois.
She was born March 28,
1929 in Galva, Illinois the daughter of Simon B. and Florence
McIlhardy Baldwin. She married Robert Thorne. She later married Don
Kinsey of Joliet, Illinois in 1968. He preceded in death on May 13,
1978.
She is survived by two
sons, Martin D. Thorne of Galesburg and Michael E. Thorne of
Abingdon, Illinois; two daughters, Victoria (Butch) Allison of
Oquawka, Illinois and Robin (Alan) Cottom of Galesburg; five
grandchildren, Mike, Amy, Nicole, Daniel and Robert; twelve great
grandchildren and five great great grandchildren. She is preceded in
death by her parents, her husband, two brothers and one sister.
Loris was a homemaker. She
had lived in Galva and Kewanee before moving to Galesburg in 1951.
She was a member of Corpus Christi Catholic Church.
Graveside services are
scheduled for 1:00 pm Friday, December 23, 2016 in Pleasant View
Cemetery in Kewanee, Illinois. Cremation will be accorded. Memorials
may be made to the Knox County Nursing Home Alzheimer’s Unit.
