Ruth M. Sholl

Ruth M. Sholl, 94, of Knoxville, Illinois died at 7:50 pm Monday, December 5, 2016 in Knox County Nursing Home, Knoxville.

She was born May 24, 1922 in Galesburg, Illinois the daughter of Bert and Bessie Johnson Bushong. She married Donald A. Sholl on August 31, 1941 in Kahoka, Missouri. He preceded her in death on August 18, 1997.

She is survived by her son, Larry D. (Joanna) Sholl of Carthage, Illinois; her daughter, Vickie L. Thomas of Peoria, Illinois; six grandchildren, Lari Dawn LaBello, Buffy Sholl, Rowdy Thomas, Dusty Thomas, Jacob and Annie Sholl and five great grandchildren, Nolan Bauwens, Fletcher Summa, Mary Summa, Jordyn Thomas and Jax Thomas. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her brother, Harold and two sisters, Beverly and Dorothy.

Ruth worked in a factory in Galesburg during WWII supporting troops.

Graveside services are scheduled for 11 am Friday, December 9, 2016 in East Linwood Cemetery. Mr. Mark Garber will officiate. There will be no visitation. Family will receive friends following the graveside services at the Elks Lodge # 894, 1640 N. Henderson Street, Galesburg, Illinois. Cremation will be accorded. Memorials may be made to the Harbor Lights Hospice. Hinchliff-Pearson-West Funeral Directors and Cremation Services are handling arrangements for the family.
