Alice M. White, 91 of
Galesburg, Illinois died at 5:40 a.m. Sunday, December 4, 2016 in
Seminary Manor Nursing Home.
She was born April 29,
1925 in Galesburg, Ill. the daughter of Thomas R. and Helen Roberts
Marry. She married John E. White on September 23, 1946 in Galesburg.
He preceded her in death on January 12, 1981.
She is survived by her
son, John E. White, Jr. of Galesburg, one sister Patricia Hicks of
Galesburg, one special niece Mary Ann and Mike McNeil of Galesburg,
and one special nephew Tom and Sandra Hicks of Wauconda, Illinois and
many special nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by three
brothers Tom, Paul, and Jim Marry.
She graduated from St.
Joseph Academy in 1943. She was a Supervisor at Intra State/Centel
Telephone Company for 25 years. She was a member of Immaculate Heart
of Mary Church where she was a member of Ladies of Mary. Alice
enjoyed traveling following her retirement.
Funeral Mass will be at 11
a.m. Wednesday December 7, 2016 at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church
with Rev. Msgr. Ernest Pizzamiglio officiating. Visitation will be
Wednesday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the church. Burial will be at
Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Immaculate Heart of
Mary Church. Hinchliff-Pearson-West Funeral Directors and Cremation
