Scott Dale Line

Scott Dale Line, 45 of Mason City, Illinois and formerly of London Mills, died early Sunday morning, December 18, 2016 at the scene of an accident on Illinois Route 136 in McLean County.
  He was born May 7, 1971 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Galesburg, the son of Dale and Rosemary Myers Line.
  Scott is survived by his parents, Dale and Rosemary Line of rural Hanna City; his children, Tristan Scott Line and Hailey Nichole Line, both of Mason City, Farah Elise Line of Springfield, Daryan Gray Line and Benjamin Gatlin Thorne Line all of Springfield; one sister, Dawn Line of Bushnell; his nephews, Christopher John Beard and Jason Dale Housenga both of Bushnell and Kirsten Liesl Meyer of Macomb; aunts, uncles, cousins and their families.
  He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Irene and Kenneth Line, his maternal grandparents, Dorothy and William H. Myers, an uncle, William J. Myers, an aunt, Tammie Myers and a cousin, Chad Ehrenhart.
  He grew up in the London Mills area and graduated from Valley High School in 1989.  He later attended a Kitchen Restaurant Management School in Davenport, Iowa.  He owned and operated the Some Like It Hot! Restaurant in Mason City for a couple of years.  He currently was employed as an assembler by the Eaton Corporation in Lincoln.  He attended the First Christian Church in Mason City.  He enjoyed motorcycles, hillbilly trucks, 4-wheeling and he was a die-hard Iron Man, Marilyn Monroe and St. Louis Cardinal baseball fan.
  Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, December 23, 2016 at the Hinchliff-Pearson-West Abingdon Chapel, 206 N. Washington St. in Abingdon.  Burial will be in East Midway Cemetery near London Mills.  Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday at the chapel.  The family will also be planning a time to celebrate Scott’s life at a later date in Mason City. 
  Memorials may be made to the family for an education fund for his children.
