David E. Main

David E. Main, age 65 of Galesburg, Illinois died Sunday February 12, 2017 at 9:41 a.m. at his home.

He was born December 9, 1951 in Morrison, Illinois the son of Jerry Main and Rose Shepard Main.

Dave is survived by two sons, Dylan and Tony Main both of Galesburg; two brothers, Jerry Main of California and Ricky and Cheryl Main of Galesburg; one sister Connie Heusinkveld of Galesburg and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother and father.

He graduated from Galesburg High School in 1970 and from Western Illinois University in Macomb with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in 1976. He was a substitute teacher for School District 205 for 6 years. He later went to work for the City of Galesburg in the maintenance department for 24 years retiring in 2008.

David was a member of the Elks Lodge in Galesburg. He loved his art, music, and sports as well as his family.

Cremation will be accorded. Come celebrate his life with us Saturday February 18, 2017 from 1-4 p.m. at Harleys Pub located at 2243 Grand Ave. Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements. Online condolences may be made at www.h-p-w.com.
