Helen J. Lannholm, 76, of
Knoxville, Illinois died at 9:12 am Saturday, February 25, 2017 at
Marigold Health Care Center, Galesburg.
She was born December 23,
1940 in Avon, Illinois the daughter of Oscar Samuel and Florence
Hanora Fogarty Newton. She married Alan N. Lannholm on October 31,
1959 in Albion, Michigan. He preceded her in death on September 6,
2012.
She is survived by her
children, Mark A. (Megan) Lannholm of Strafford, Missouri, Michael A.
(Charlene) Lannholm of Galesburg, Robert “Bob” D. Lannholm of
Springdale, Arkansas and Cathy Ann Lannholm of Galesburg; her sister,
Mary Kjellander of Garden City, Idaho; Diana Lannholm of Springdale,
Arkansas and five grandchildren, Tyler, Kelsi, Blake, Matthew, and
Colton Lannholm.
Helen was very proud of
being a mother to her four children and a fantastic homemaker. After
raising her children she had several occupations such as Tyson Foods,
Arkansas and Derby Industries, Galesburg. She graduated from
Galesburg High School in 1958. She had lived in Marshalltown, Iowa,
Springdale, Arkansas and Galesburg, Illinois. Helen was a member of
the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church. She was a member of the
Cancer Survivors Support Group. She enjoyed fishing, collecting
figurines and plates, watching cooking shows on the Food Network and
Dancing With the Stars. Helen loved sharing about her family with her
friends.
Funeral Mass is scheduled
for 10:00 am Thursday at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church
with Rev. Monsignor Ernest Pizzamiglio officiating. Visitation will
be 5:00-7:00 pm Wednesday evening at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg
Chapel with Rosary at 7:00 pm. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery.
