He
was born June 26, 1945 in Dallas City, Illinois to Charles McClelland
and Beulah Pauline Luder Gray. He married Barbara Gene Shellnut
December 5, 1970 in Abingdon, Illinois.
Surviving
a daughter, Teddy Jean (and Dale) Gaddis of Galesburg, two step
daughters, Tracy Neal of Kissimmee, Florida and Rebekah Hanson of
Toledo, Ohio, two brothers, Robert (and Mary) Gray of Monmouth, Illinois
and Charles (and Rowena) Gray of Missouri, three sisters, Wanda
Johnston of East Moline, Illinois, Dorothy High of Crawfordsville,
Indiana and Wilma Hastings of Destin, Florida, two granddaughters and
three step grandsons. He is preceded in death by his parents,
a brother, Jerry Gray and a sister Doris Lambert.
Jimmie
worked for Maytag manufacturing company for 32 years until 2002. He
then drove a semi-truck for nine years and retired in 2011. He
graduated from Plymouth High School, Plymouth, Illinois in 1963.
He was an engineer in the U.S. Army during Vietnam. Jimmie enjoyed
working on cars and trucks.
Jimmie has chosen to donate his body to science. There is no funeral planned. Online condolences may be made at
