Donna J. Skiver

Donna J. Skiver, 74, of Monmouth, IL, passed away at 9:00 a.m., Friday, March 31, 2017 at Marigold Rehabilitation & Health Care, Galesburg, IL.

She was born July 14, 1942 in Monmouth, Illinois the daughter of Marvin “Shorty” and Beaulah (Clark) Huff.  She was raised and educated in Monmouth, graduating from Monmouth High School in 1960.

Donna married Delbert Skiver in Burlington, IA on July 11, 1984 and he survives. 

Donna worked at K-Mart in Monmouth for 15 years and later at Dollar General in Monmouth as the assistant manager before retiring.

She enjoyed playing Bingo and spending time with her family. She was also a lifelong member of the Monmouth Eagles Club.

Survivors include her husband, Delbert Skiver of Monmouth; 2 sons, Tony (Jessica) Bundy and Doug Linze both of Monmouth; grandchildren, Cullen Linze, Amanda Linze, Cohen Linze, Kate Burk, Olivia Bundy, Bryan Wilson, Skyler Goodwin and Brooke Hackspacher; 1 sister, Peg Huff of Monmouth; 1 brother, Donald “Sonny” Huff of Arizona; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; 3 sons, Roger Burk, Robbie Burk and Jeff Linze; her sister, Betty Morey and her brother Jack Roundtree.

A gathering of family and friends will be from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Thursday, April 6, 2017 at McGuire and Davies Funeral Home and Crematory, Monmouth.
