Marjorie E. Hennenfent, 91, of
Monmouth, IL died at 9:21 a.m. Sunday, March 19, 2017 at OSF St. Mary Medical
Center, Galesburg.
She was born on July 17, 1925 in
Fountain Green, IL, the daughter of John and Blanche Tippet. Marjorie was raised and educated in Macomb,
IL and graduated in 1943 from the Western Academy in Macomb.
Marjorie married Roger L.
Hennenfent in Macomb, IL on July 11, 1954.
He preceded her in death on November 28, 1997.
Marjorie spent most of her life
as a homemaker. She worked for a time as
a secretary at REA in Macomb, Brown Lynch Scott Co in Monmouth, and the Alexis
Fire Protection District. Marjorie was a
member of the First United Methodist Church in Monmouth, and the Roseville
Rambling Rose Square Dancing Club. She
enjoyed playing cards at Strom Center in Monmouth, camping, word games, and
playing the piano.
Surviving Marjorie is one son,
Tim Hennenfent of Monmouth, IL, one daughter Jill (Danny) Johnson of Gerlaw,
IL, four grandchildren; Nicholas Hennenfent, Nathan (Sara) Hennenfent, Nolan
Hennenfent, and Noah Hennenfent. Also
surviving are four great grandchildren, one sister-in-law, Shirley Peterson of
Monmouth, IL, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her
parents, husband, and three brothers; Deon Tippet, Dale Tippet, and John “Jay”
Tippet.
Graveside services will be 11:00
a.m., Thursday, March 23, 2017 at Warren County Memorial Park, Monmouth. No visitation hours are planned. Memorials can be made to Strom Center,
Monmouth or First United Methodist Church, Monmouth. McGuire & Davies Funeral Home and
