Sara A. Bowman

Sara A. Bowman, 69, formerly of Galesburg and Bushnell, Illinois died at 1:10 am Wednesday, May 31, 2017 in Prairie City Nursing Home, Prairie City, Illinois.

She was born July 28, 1947 in Galesburg, Illinois the daughter of Buford and Ruth Rhoades Riggs. She married Arnold Daniel on July 29, 1991 in Oquawka, Illinois. He preceded her in death in 2008.

She is survived by her son, Donald (Tammy) Woodworth of St. Louis, Missouri; her daughter, Carolyn (Brett Harlan) Suggs of Galesburg, Illinois; two step sons, Steve (Tracy) Daniel of Keithsburg, Illinois and Bill (Sandy) Daniel of Roseville, Illinois; four step daughters, Marsha (James) Coleman of Galesburg, Barb Hopkins of Roseville, Sue (Richard) Swift of Bloomfield, Missouri and Sandy Hamilton of Stronghurst, Illinois; four grandchildren, Shelby Linze, Sara, Steph and Devon Woodworth; four step grandchildren and several great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her brother, Clarence Riggs and her sister, Carolyn Riggs and a step daughter, Brenda Young.

Sara worked for Knox College in food service since 1991. She enjoyed traveling and shopping.

Funeral Services are scheduled for 1:00 pm Saturday, June 3, 2017 at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel. Rev. James Ecklund will officiate. Burial will be in East Linwood Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the family. Online condolences may be made at www.h-p-w.com
