Bertha Lorraine Dublo

Bertha Lorraine Dublo, 88, of Alexis, IL passed away on Tuesday June 6, 2017 at Graham Hospital in Canton, IL.  She was born Wednesday April 10, 1929 at Maquon, IL, the daughter of Robert and Irene (Gebhart) Swanson.  She was raised and educated in Alexis and graduated from Alexis High School in 1948.

  Bertha married Edward Dublo on July 28, 1959 at Kirkwood, IL and he preceded her in death on August 7, 2001.

  After high school Bertha worked at FormFit in Monmouth, IL until it closed.  She then worked at Smolders Dress Shop in Monmouth, IL.  She loved her family and church.

  She was a member of the Alexis Presbyterian Church and its woman’s society and the Warren County Republican Woman.

  Those left to cherish her memory are one sister, Barbara J. Rogers of Lewistown, IL along with nieces and nephews. 

  She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 1 brother (Cletus R. Swanson), and 3 sisters (Doris I. Spence, Pauline L. Brown, and Carolyn L. Potts).

  Funeral services will be Friday June 9, 2017, 2:00 p.m. at the Alexis Presbyterian Church Alexis, IL.  Burial will be in the Alexis Cemetery Alexis, IL.  Visitation will be from 1:00-2:00 p.m. at the Alexis Presbyterian Church.  Memorials may be left to the Alexis Presbyterian Church.  Please sign the online guestbook at www.wisefamily-hooverhall.com.
