Lois G. Kreps

Lois G. Kreps age 84 of Prairie City, IL formerly of Avon, IL passed away on Saturday June 10, 2017 at the Prairie City Rehab & Health Care Center in Prairie City, IL.  She was born on October 17, 1932 in Avon, Lee Twp. Fulton Co. IL to Forrest and Charlotte Serven Hornbaker.  She married Edwin L. Kreps in Warrenton, MO on December 5, 1954 and he preceded her in death on October 11, 1977.  Lois is survived by 1 Daughter and 1 Son – Karen R. Shamblin of Prairie City, IL and Greg K. (Teresa) Kreps of Mahomet, IL, 7 Grandchildren and 8 Great-Grandchildren.  She was also preceded in death by her Parents and 2 Sisters. 

Lois attended and was very active in the Prairie City Presbyterian Church for many years.  She more recently had been attending the Bushnell Baptist Church.  She graduated from Cottage Hospital School of Nursing and spent several years at McDonough District Hospital as an RN serving as a surgical Nurse and later retired from Monmouth Hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday June 29, 2017 at the Martin-Hollis Funeral Home in Bushnell, IL with visitation being held 1 hour prior to the time of services at the Funeral Home.  Burial will be in the Bushnell Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be made to Harbor Light Hospice.  Please sign the guestbook or leave condolences at www.martinhollisfh.com.
