Eldon L. Shultz, 89, of London Mills, IL passed away at 9:14
PM on Monday June 19, 2017 at his residence. He was born December 21,
1927 in Abingdon, IL to William H. and Merle (Terwilliger) Shultz. He
married Bonnie Hughs on January 30, 1949 in Knoxville, IL. She preceded
him in death on November 18, 2016.
Surviving are three sons, Gerald (Karey) Shultz of London
Mills, IL; Greg (Fabiola) Shultz of Yates City, IL; Mark (Debbie) Shultz
of London Mills, IL; eight grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; one
great great-grandson; and one sister Donna L. Thompson of Galesburg, IL.
Eldon started farming in 1949 operating the family farm for
over 68 years. He also worked for the Illinois Department of
Transportation out of the Lewistown garage for 21 years and Quints Tire
Shop for 4 years. He was a proud member of the Illinois Farm Bureau for
68 years. Eldon had an appreciation for all animals, he especially
enjoyed watching them in their natural environment. He truly loved and
was passionate about his own pets. Eldon’s family would like to send a
special thank you to all the caretakers whom helped care for their
father.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday June 23,
2017 at the Corman Memorial Home of Avon where visitation will be one
hour prior to services at 10:00 AM. Interment will be in East Midway
Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to
