Teresa
Darwine passed away at her home on June 6, 2017 surrounded by her
family.
Teresa
was born on April 18, 1939 in Monmouth, Illinois the daughter of Ward
and Irene (Dudrick) Noonan. She married Bill Darwine on June 18,
1960. He survives, along with their children: Debbie Darwine (Michael
Staes) of Oak Park, Illinois; Terri Vanderjack (Brian) of Downers
Grove, IL, and two grandchildren: Matt Vanderjack of Downers Grove,
IL and Marc Vanderjack of Taichung, Taiwan. She is also survived by
three sisters, Betty Anderson and Regina Noonan of Galesburg and
Delores (Nick) Campagna of Monmouth, IL; a sister-in-law, Joan (Ken)
Brenner of Lake Barrington, IL; many nieces and nephews; and her
little friend, Cooper. She was preceded in death by her parents; two
brothers, Dick and Dan Noonan; and two sisters, Patricia Holt and
Kathleen Tadie.
Teresa
spent her early life on a farm west of Monmouth. She moved to
Galesburg, met Bill and got married. She worked at Gamble Skogmo,
Dohrn Tranfer, and the Galesburg Clinic and was a school bus driver
for District 205 for many years so she could have the same schedule
as her girls. The last 25 years were spent working alongside her
husband as an antique dealer and restorer.
Teresa
loved nature, flowers, clouds and sunny days, little animals and
gardening. She loved to travel and visited Canada, Mexico and the
Caribbean, as well as most of the U.S. She was a loving mom and wife
who put everyone else first. She will be missed forever.
Teresa
will be cremated and, at her request, there will be no services or
visitation. A gathering of family and close friends will be held at a
later date. Goodbye, Teresa, My BFF.
