Rolland E. Hall, 83, of Galesburg,
Illinois died at 9:58 am Wednesday, July 5, 2017, at his home. He was
born November 2, 1933 in Galesburg the son of Samuel David and Mary
Catherine Crossland Hall.
Rolland is survived by his two sisters,
Betty Hall Lawton of Galesburg and Louise Porter of Antioch,
Tennessee, as well as many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in
death by his parents, two brothers, Samuel and John Hall, four
sisters, Willabell Hall Williams, Mary Yerby Brown, Geraldine
Mitchell and an infant sister.
Rolland graduated from Galesburg High
School in 1953 and attended Lincoln Electric in Cleveland, Ohio.
Rolland served in the U.S. Marine Corp as a Corporal, after being
honorably discharged, he worked for Lockheed McDonnell Douglas
Corporation. Upon his return to Galesburg he worked for Butler
Manufacturing for many years, retiring in 1995.
Rolland enjoyed the outdoors; he
traveled extensively across the U.S. and loved skiing, a sport he
continued to do until he was 82.
Rolland’s visitation will be
10:30-11:30 am, Friday, July 14, 2017, at Hinchliff–Pearson-West
Galesburg Chapel. Graveside services will be immediately following at
11:30 am at East Linwood Cemetery with Military Rites by VFW
2257/Legion 285 Honor Guard.
