David Lee Corbin

David Lee Corbin, 72, of Knoxville, Illinois died at 3:32 A.M. on Friday, April 3, 2015 at Galesburg Cottage Hospital, Galesburg, Illinois. 

He was born on December 12, 1942 in Galesburg, Illinois, the son of Harold and Pearl  Gray Corbin.  He was raised and educated in the East Galesburg and Knoxville areas.  He married Carolyn Young on June 18, 1961 in Knoxville, Illinois. 

David is survived by his wife, Carolyn; three sons, Steve (Diana) Corbin of Knoxville, Illinois, Ron (Pam) Corbin of Galesburg, Illinois, and Jeff (Jennifer) Corbin of Knoxville, Illinois; ten grandchildren; and thirteen great-grandchildren. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, one brother, one infant brother, and one grandchild. 

David first worked as a mail star route driver and later worked as a supervisor at Maytag. 
David attended the Reorganized Church of Latter Day Saints in his early years.  He enjoyed woodworking, camping, and fishing. 
Graveside memorial service will be held at 12:00 P.M. on Wednesday, April 8, 2015 at the Knoxville Cemetery.  Memorials may be made to the family.  Hurd-Hendricks Funeral Home, Knoxville is in charge of arrangements.  On-line condolences and sympathy cards may be sent through www.hurd-hendricksfuneralhome.com.
