Paula D. Larimer, 54, of
Galesburg, died at 3:55 a.m. Wednesday, April 8, 2015 in Galesburg Cottage
Hospital.
She was born October 19, 1960
in Macomb, Illinois, the daughter of John C. and Jo Ann R. (Brown)
Frambes. She married Michael L. Larimer
on August 17, 1979 in Galesburg.
She is survived by her
husband of 35 years, Michael; her father and stepmother, John C. and Delores
Frambes of Orland Park, Illinois; a son, Robert M. (and Ashley) Larimer of
Galesburg; a daughter, Sarah E. Larimer of Galesburg; a granddaughter, Haylee
A. Larimer; a brother, John E. Frambes of Tempe, Arizona; and two sisters,
Patti (and Gary) Smith and Theresa A. Frambes, both of Galesburg. She was preceded in death by her mother.
Paula was employed by the
Knox/Warren Special Education District as a special education teacher at
Knoxville Junior High School for 19 years.
She graduated from Galesburg High School in 1978 and from Monmouth
College in 1996. Paula was a devoted
member of First Church of God, where she taught Sunday School, was involved
with youth group, and coordinated Vacation Bible School and AWANA. She loved spending time with her friends and
family, especially her granddaughter, Haylee.
Funeral service will be 10
a.m. Saturday, April 11, 2015 at First Church of God. Rev. Dennis McQuown and Rev. Don Reynolds
will officiate. Burial will follow the
funeral at Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at Hinchliff-Pearson-West
Galesburg Chapel. Memorial contributions
may be made to the Knox County Relay for Life Team, Cancer Sucks! or First
