Zachary Dean "Roo" Bundy

Zachary Dean "Roo" Bundy, age 18, of Oquawka, Illinois, passed away at 7:30 am on Tuesday, March 31, 2015 at his residence in Oquawka. 

He was born on February 18, 1997 and is the son of Ricky D. and Tammy (Murphy) Bundy. Zach was currently a senior at West Central High School and was a member of the F.F.A. and the bowling team. He was a avid NASCAR fan and followed his favorite driver Dale Earnhardt, Jr. #"88". Zach loved to visit the garages of his local sprint car family and friends. He very much enjoyed attending "34" Raceways with his sister Liz. Zach also enjoyed hanging around in the garage with his Dad. Living close to the Mississippi River, he enjoyed fishing with his family and friends. Zach also enjoyed sewing and was an excellent cook. 

He is survived by his parents; Ricky and Tammy Bundy, one sister; Elizabeth Bundy, one brother; Matthew Bundy, both of Oquawka, IL., numerous aunts and uncles, grandfather Bill Murphy of Oquawka, IL., grandmother Janet Murphy of Abilene, TX. Also surviving are numerous cousins and special friends, especially Shady Hartman. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Jeannine, William, and Hazel Bundy, three aunts; Sherry and Terry Bundy, and Kimmy Davis, and cousin Jerimy Brockett.

A funeral service is planned for 11:00 am on Saturday, April 4, 2015 at the West Central High School Gymnasium in Biggsville, Illinois. His family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 pm on Friday, April 3, 2015 at Turnbull Funeral Home in Oquawka, Illinois. Interment will follow the service at Carman Cemetery.
